Orillia has transitioned from its origins in the cryptocurrency sector to become a dedicated consultancy firm. Initially, we were pioneers in the Bitcoin space, establishing the first ATM network and online exchange in Belgium. This involved designing and building our own ATM machines and bitcoin mining equipment, showcasing our early expertise in product development and technological innovation.
In 2017, we ventured into data exchange with Juru, a platform designed to facilitate secure and compliant data sharing between companies. This initiative focused on attested data exchange, aligning with the principles of GDPR and exploring the potential of blockchain technology for verification. Our involvement in the Decentralized Identity Foundation and OpenID Foundation demonstrates our commitment to establishing industry standards in Self Sovereign Identity.
Following the acquisition of the Juru team, Orillia refocused its efforts on providing consultancy services in product development and architecture. We supported Meeco and Atos Belgium by providing Chief Technology Officer services, focusing on identity solutions, personal data stores, and data spaces. This period further solidified our reputation for delivering high quality product development expertise.
Since June 2024, Orillia has been providing coaching and knowledge services to Colruyt group in the domain of IT Solution Architecture. This collaboration demonstrates our continued commitment to sharing our expertise and guiding organizations toward innovative and effective technological solutions.
